Its an older bearing mount. This one was prob used on a CATERPILLAR. they would take apart the mount & shove a ball bearing in it. The "split" is just a preference. they make them all one piece too. I'll post a link on the newer version of these bad boys.

Item History: None.

Size: It is approximately 6-1/2" to 7" in length and 1-7/8" in diameter.

Markings: There are identical markings on the bolts, JY 88.

You are correct it is for a Split Bearing mount. Specifically for some model of "Cat" or "Caterpillar" product. That is the Factory color of CAT products. That's the best I can tell you

Pillow block is what it's called. Typicality sold by the size of the hole that fits a bearing. The inside diameter of the hole would be the oteside diameter of the bearing.
