MOTO GUZZI ambassador/ ELDORADO TIMING CHAIN FRONT ENGINE COVER engine size 700cc-850cc this style was made from 1967-73 This is from a V-twin engine called loop frame because of the style of frame the motorcycle sat in. Moto Guzzi had the style engine case and frame until 1974 then it was changed to what is called Tonti frame after that,the engine design and front cover were changed. There is a long smooth aluminum generator belt cover (missing) that bolts to the front of this timing cover that is visible in my reference picture.
