This is a Wassell fuel tank that was popular in the 1960's and 70's for customizing a motorcycle. Many were painted just like this one for use on a "bobber" or chopper. Some had the brackets cut off of modified to fit a particular bike. This one still has the mounts that it came with from Wassell.
